Default Are Hyundai alternators swappable between cars?

My alternator took a dump a couple of days ago and I thought about maybe just upgrading the one I have now to something better. Would one from say a Santa Fe or the V6 GK tib or Sonata fit in an RD? Bigger vehicles with bigger engines so the alternators would be stronger. Just wondering what is swappable and what isnt. Anyone know?

Beta 1 and 2 Engined cars are swappable. I believe you can use one from the Alpha 1.6 engines as well. The Delta engine uses a completely different alt and will not work.

I think there is a Santa Fe that is compatible but I don't remember the year.

I know they made one with a few more amps during my year run. A TSB came out about the dimming lights at idle issue that talked about it.
