Hyper Intake vs. Dragon Intake

Hyper Intake vs. Dragon Intake
A local shop is now carrying aftermarket parts including Dragon. I heard all the talk on the Dragon Weapon-R being crap but what about their Hyper Intake? How does that compare?

Quite a few of us raced with them in our Subarus. The original Hyper Intake turned out to be better than the Dragon. The guys that bougt the Dragon intakes ended up replacing them - too restrictive.
A lot of people complained about the Weapon-R intake being junk, but I put it up against a half dozon other makes and they couldn't beat it for performance. 0-60 times with the Weapon-R Hyper intake were .8 faster than with the stock intake.
They quit complaining after the put up or shut up challenge and lost.
However, that was on a Subaru RS. I don't know how well it stacks up against other makes in Hyundais. Given the choice, I would get the Hyper over the Dragon because of the better air flow.

WIth my dragon intake the normal way it is supposed to be installed with the ram/cold air extension my car didnt run much faster maybe .3 seconds in the 1/4. Now what I did was remove the heat shield from the setup, took the ram air hose hooked it onto the intake pipe and extended the pipe with it. Then I placed the cone into the fenderwell. And bam, got another .5 seconds faster in 1/4. I am now running 2.4s 60ft times and 16.8 1/4's. (the car was running 17.7's in 1/4 with 2.7s 60ft times stock) All I have done to my car is the intake, plugs and MSD DIS-2 ignition. The heat shield it self is the most restrictive of the setup. The cone doesnt get a chance to breath. But I think the cone is great. I am currently looking for a cheap intake pipe for the Mitsu Eclipse to replace the ram air hose. (just for better looks)
