I don't think insurance company would cover damage that was cased by aftermarket parts such as CAI. Cause with stock airbox there will not be a chance to hydrolock.
But who knows...
Check also if there is spots in the engine oil.
So any updates?

That's why you remove the CAI and replace it with the stock intake. You might want to throw some muddy water under the hood to make it look good. I'm telling you from experince as it worked for me years back wink1.gif

amazingly no damage... they just had to flush the oil a couple of times and it's prefectly fine.... the mechanic was shocked as hell. He said that normally when any water gets into the engine like that your engine is toast... he even wrote down that it was very unusual. They also replaced my exhaust manifold (recall work) so it actually sounds like its running better then before. I guess I got lucky... only time will tell
