By hollowing out my cat(on a stock exhaust), would the car benefit or experience a loss in power and/or performance?

don't do it, there's hardly any power to be gained and well it's put there for a reason....

You'll gain almost nothing. Don't do it. You might even lose power

There are better mods out there, even better free ones.

I got no respect for people who do anything but get a high flow cat.
