Thanks everyone... and yes i did get REAL lucky... but what got to me was the shop kinda insisted that part of my problem was that the water got in through my exhaust after i had stalled... so idk but its all over and fixed thank god...

if water got in through your exhaust after it stalled.. you were in REALLY deep water. EVEN if water was up over the level of your tailpipe.. (which would put water inside the interior of your car) it would not be able to flow UP the exhaust manifold and into the engine.

Just be careful not to accelerate too much when driving in high water. Glad to hear your car is OK.

Every time that I heard an story like this, a tear came oof my eye.... You have a pretty good luck if anthing get damage in the engine....

When My CAI sucks water, sucks $400 too from my pocket...

Just check any weird noises in the engine... very low noises in the same sequence... sounds like "clok"
