Seems like it could be an electrical related problem.

Check your spark plugs, check your spark plug wires, check connections everywhere, check your timing. Since you replaced your started you might of not connected something right, check it, and then double check it!

If your battery is good,( and wires) and the starter was put in correctly, then i bet your alternator is toast. This happened with my old '88 Cougar.

Was driving along, then *bam* loss of all power, and the car died.

Could'nt start her up after that, Well, It did start (after a boost) and was able to drive for about 2 minutes, then died again.

Got the car checked out, and the mechanic said the alternator was dead.

Whet to a different place, and got a rebuilt Alt. for $50

Everything was gravy smile.gif

I would say go and get your alternator checked out - That most likely is the problem. If not, then triple check the starter again

Where do you live?? in a cold snowy area? or hot?

If you live in a cold area, I'd say maybe your fuel lines are froze.

do the lights in the interior flicker, or get really dim when you tried starting it???

Odessit: Spark plugs/wires/etc will not effect the car (to the point of the engine cranking). If you read his original posts, his starter will not even turn the engine.

The alt does not affect the starting procedure (only the recharging of the battery when the car is running)

The Only areas that it could be is 1 the battery, 2 the connections from the battery to the starter (and essentially to ground also), 3 the starter.

It seems that the starter signal wire is okay too, since you heard clicking.

^^^ If your lights dim / flicker its def the batt does not have enough juice.

Yup, Either the battery, connections, or no fuel delivery

Car will not Crank (spin). Has nothing to do with fuel delivery (i.e. turning over / start running). According to what was already explained (starter will click but will not spin).

do you have a batt. charger?

hook it up overnight, and make sure the connections with the batt. terminals are TIGHT.
