Haltech installed and tuned!
Hey all,
I finally had my Haltech e6k tuned today.
I had installed it 2 weeks ago, but had some hassles with firmware.
There is definately an increase in torque, i can feel it straight
from dumping the throttle.
it pulls solid all the way to 7000rpm.
I'd estitmate i gained around 8-10kw over the whole range.
The engine sounds BETTER than stock. it revs more freely
and sounds just awesome with the 4-1's!
I've decided to ditch the Hyundai BAC, using 2 PWM's is just such a waste.
I can get a GM ISC that runs off the e6k's ISC wiring and free's up 2 PWMs.
Anyway, it seems to idle ok at the moment.
I'm still on version 6.34, 7.x doesnt seem to work for me.
I havent hooked the O2 sensor up, its been tuned smack on14.7
for cruising, so i dont think i'll bother. might do it for fun purposes.
For those unaware, I'm still Naturally Aspirated.
I have HVE 4-1 headers, onpol special TB (59.9mm),
full 2.5 exhaust, collector to tail, and my own intake.
Interesting to see I can finally prove the worth of my intake.
My intake air temps sit solid near ambient.
I hope to get some dyno graphs soon. I left the stock harness
intack, it only takes 5 minutes to swap ECU's, so I'll try and organise
a back to back run so the environment is mostly the same.

Sweet!
Bry, is that still the same intake that you were developing back when we were all at Fxtreme?
Yeah it is, I finished it off and have been usingSweet!
Bry, is that still the same intake that you were developing back when we were all at Fxtreme?
it ever since.
I still think its better than some of the others,
but its not a show item.
(Someone send me another intake and i'll dyno them)
Infact, some of the previous adjectives given to it
are still applicable, tho its black now.
