GT cam is a big no no smile.gif Get the 1.8l cam instead. Do a search on this site for 1.8l cam. It will give you all the info about the differences between it and the GT and how to buy it from kspec.

I heard about the GT cam, and saw it was readily availible, so I thought I'd ask. If 1.8 is the way to go, then thanks for the help :-)

I see that people feel almost no gain from XD cam, how big of a gain do you get with 1.8L cam? is it really noticable?

Anyone else on forums have aftermarket cams installed? what kind of gains did you get?

The difference is probably only a smidgeon... there isn't a large amount of difference between the 1.8 and the stock cam.

With a set of 272s along with a good intake path (CAI, large TB, IM, a little P&P) you could see around 15whp gain.

Would that be only for intake cam? or intake and exhaust?

HP.com has 264 intake exhaust, and 272 I think intake.... any suggestions?

I have the 1.8 cam, and felt an immediate improvement. Don't know how much but definatley some, and it's a cheap mod so it's worth it IMO wink1.gif

Best to work them in pairs. Main reason people keep the stock exhaust cam is because its already the best on a Hyundai that is swappable.

HP has them listed but a few people said they have called for them and they don't have them in stock... and HP has some stupid call-answering people. Probably have to custom grind 'em in most cases.
