fuel pump upgrade
I want to start running the 75 shot with my zex kit and I need to find out what fuel pump I should get that will keep up with it. I'm looking for a bolt in without any modifications. I know it should be for a Talon or rx7 but what year and engine do I order it for, any part #'s would be a big help. I did a search and came up empty. Thank's in advance guy's.

its a walbro 255lt turbo talon high-flow fuel pump. Its a direct boltin replacement for your stock one. I got mine off ebay for like $100.

ok, upwards of your maximum NA mods your running wikedly close to your maximum hp that the pump can produce. and the s-afc which finetunes fuel control, requires excess of what your using during certain situations.
Anyway, so giving that your supposed to produce 140 stock (without tranny loss), your pump is rated at 180hp. Give about 5-10% error on flow. (not all pumps will be equal, well stock ones). thats about 163hp thats guaranteed. They don't test factory pumps up to 180 every time, thats just their mean average. And anyway your stressing your stock pump. Now this may be overkill unless your planning to do ALL the na mods. Also the new pump will get up to pressure quicker and operate at 33% instead of my stock 80-90%. Less taxing on the fuel pump. But i might be doing NOS or turbo/super in the future so i need to be ready smile.gif

I believe if you mail them your car model and year they should be able to get you whatever kit. If I recall from their website they had a 225lph & a 255lph (both high pressure and not.) I got the non-high pressure 255lph one for $99.75 (shipping included.) It was brand new and came with a new filter and the Hyundai/Mitsubishi install kit. No modifications required, they are basically car specific. I hope this helps anyone interested in getting quality affordable pumps. The part no. for my particular kit was FPY002 or GSS317.
