Free Cam Sprocket Mod !

Re: flip out and couple others
Hey Ford are you going to put the timing on the sprocket back to stock after you get the s/c and then work on retarding or advancing it again? If the gains are nice enough I might doe this as well.

Re: Nick names for our Tibs??
Alpine told me to keep it advanced.
Also, there is tib GK beta owner that has an apline turbo kit and he advaned the cam 4 degrees and gained power so i dont think there will be any gains with retarding the cams...
I plan to keep it right where it is...
as a rule of thumb... if your na mods gain power, they will usually gain power with a blower setup.
however the exception to that might be overlap and upgraded cams... if you get bigger cams & you have a boosted engine, you will want to get boost-compatible cams with LESS overlap than the equivalent NA cams ...
the reason is that you dont want the boost to bleed out of the intake manifold during overlap.. also, with a turbo setup, there is usually more pressure on the exhaust than on the inatake side, so if you have too much overlap you will get what is called " REVERSION " which is when the exhaust gasses actually bleed back into the cylinders / intake manifold during overlap...
lol
I think i'll keep my cam sprocket right where it is for the blower dyno.
