Actually, that's not right. The engine bay will be cooler, and your precious parts won't have as much heat degredation because of it. The engine may also be a bit cooler too because it's not sitting in a oven. Cooling of the engine can EASILY be helped without messing with the radiator system.

Ok, all I'm gonna say is, if you want ACTUAL and NOTICEABLE performance from them:

1. Get a lower temp t-stat.

or

2. Put the fans on a manual overide switch.

Done here.

I am a firm believe in the manual over ride switch. This might come from my background in Italian cars. The Fiat 124 was one of the first cars to use an electric fan... it's wiring and switching tend to be a little fragile, so we usually wire in an override somewhere just to be safe.

I'm in 100 degree weather most of the summer, and the fan is never constantly on. There's just no need for them, especially for anyone living north of me.
$200 will buy a lot of other MORE useful parts. Something that you'll enjoy everyday and not hidden under the hood providing no power gain.

Jon you are correct, however, when I install the turbo I will need all the extra little space that I can save.

so for me it is a good $200 investment cool.gif

Just letting everyone know that I have received my fans. I am feeling a little sick I may just have to *cough *cough* leave work *cough* early

Same for me with my GT HEaders, not to mention, I'm going Turbo next year.

I've been told by several folks it's a perfect fit.

Like "It's like it's made for our car" perfect fit.

has anyone done a write-up on how to wire a on/off switch? I would like to buy one of these mainly for the performance aspect but have no clue where to buy a lower thermostat and like having the power over my FAL's...
