I got a Fidanza flywheel and south bend clutch set installed.
Do you guys have some scratchy metal rubbing and sharp noise when you start up the car?
I'm having that scratchy rubbing noise when I start up the car.
my mechanic said that it is because there's little gap between the starter and flywheel tooth. Is that true?

doubt it, i have the exact same setup, and i installed it myself. no problems, no noise. sounds like he may have forgotten to tighten something down so you're hearing a noise. you may want to get under there yourself and take a quick peak.
