FAL fans are worth it, but do some searching on here. people have found them for much cheaper i believed.

it shouldnt have cost you that much man. im assuming the only thing they had to weld was the cat with two flanges. it was way overpriced. next time, make a post asking for some local help or something in the local forum. one of us in this area would be willing to help, im sure.

maybe it's the sensors and the computer isn't reading the right emissions because it smells like exhaust fumes... like really bad ones. if i keep going like this i will have cancer or something haha.

really... whenever i start 'er up it smells like chemicals.

the reason it cost so much was because of the headers because they had to torque them. they also had to weld some hangers in and cut and weld the cat in. i'll bet i could have gotten it cheaper somewhere else... but i wanted to get this over with before my dad's arrival. grrr... screwed myself over bigtime. an exhaust shouldn't be a big deal.. but yikes.. that buzzing is nightmarish.

OP, i think i will take you up on that, however, are those just the fans or is it the entire assembly? frame?

Just the fan. You can custom mount it.

You smell fumes because you have a leak! Get rid of that leak man!!!

ok, i will get the slim fans first and see if that helps. OP, i don't want to take up your time in front of school and all... but if you're able to soon would you be able to tell me where you got your glasspack done? and how long it took?

how would i be able to custom mount the fans? are they easy to hook up?

torqued the headers down? i have a torque wrench at my house, as im sure a lot of members here do as well. they raped you man.

the fans have bolts (or something similiar) that poke through the radiator to the other side. huge washers go on the front side to hold them in place.

you have got to fix that leak before anything else. i dont understand why the downpipe would not bolt to the header. thats rediculous that even left it open. they should have put the stock stuff back on.

they put in a few new gaskets for temporary in between i see, so there is a gap there but it seems to be sealed because i don't feel anything coming out. i should have pics though so you guys can see this. I probably could have torqued them myself but the fitment of the exhaust needed to be fitted with the downpipe so there's no way unless it was all put on at once.

REDZ, Amazon.com has them from summit. $200 though. I found some FAL's from prostreetonline for $125...

Flex-A-Lite Fans

How about that? What would the difference be between the 220's?

You don't think it's the replica exhaust that's causing that buzzing?

What else do you have done to your car HKC?
