Get it off there and put an OEM one on.

Then I would suggest either going to Hyundai for an oil change or doing your own.

This thread just reminded me of the only time someone else ever touched the oil filter on my car. The first time I went to change the oil, I changed it and then went to change the filter. . . the thing was on there but TIGHT. I couldn't even get it with a strap wrench! I went to the local corner lube shop and told them I wanted them to JUST change the filter and replace it with the one I supplied. It took some convincing but they did it. In retrospect, I could have driven a screwdriver through the filter and used that for a handle, but if that failed to get it loose . . . owned.gif

Went to Hyundai and got a oil change. My Tib was Quiet when in there shop. Brought it home and it knocks again..

It ONLY knocks in idle. When I rev the car I don't hear any knocks.

So Hyundai did a change for you now?

The old filter probably lowered your oil pressure, leading to HLA's that needed oil. Under rev, the car has more pressure. Go out and drive your car normally for about 20 or 30 minutes, see if it goes away.

It should.

If not, and you have a OEM filter and the right oil level, you may have a bad HLA or two.

I recall one of our korean members sticking a 10mm nut in the oil pressure regulator to boost pressure. this could fix HLA issues right?

Oil pressure regulator? Where would that be?

Its in the oil pump housing, and would require the pan to be dropped. As for fixing HLA issues, maybe but a better way to fix HLA issues would be with a Beta2 head.

The Car sat in Storage for 6months...could it have dirty lifters etc???

Should I add some type of engine additive or cleaner?

Since it sat, its probably the lifters. Drive it around for a while and it should go away.
