Default Custom cat-back costs

I just got back from the local performance shop and they don't bend pipes for custom cat-backs, so I'm stuck going to Midas or Meineke. I was just wondering if anybody has ever had a custom cat-back exhaust (2-1/2") made for an elantra or tibby and could let me know how much they spent so I know what I'm in for when I go down tomorrow after school?

well, I paid $70 for 2.25" crush bent pipe from right behind the second o2 sensor on my Accent, which is pretty much from the headers, back. I'm going with a friend tomorrow to get cat-back done on his 240sx, I'll post up what he pays. The 2.0 might be more since the tib/elantra is a little bigger and the pipe is larger.

Mine cost $62 for a custom bent 2.5" from the cat-back (Just the piping). I think it was a good deal for my 95 Elantra.

Did you guys go to a exhaust shop like meineke or midas? Also, what do u guys mean from the 2nd O2 sensors back? Is that before the cat or after? Should I tell them I want 2.5" pipe from the cat to the muffler or from the 2nd o2 sensor back to the muffler? Thanx.

DAMN, never in my life of Hyundai tuning, lol, have I heard such low prices for custom exhausts... I'm guessing you guys are just talking about the piping not the muffler...

The piping down here in Miami ran my guys, $190.00 includes the install of the piping and the aftermarket muffler ($100.00 for HP Racing muffler)... so $290 in total... this is for quality aluminum mandrel bent piping...

One reason the prices are so low, is you are getting quotes on crush bent steel exahust tube!

Crush bends---------Suck for performance
Steel tube ---------Rusts in a few years

Get Mandrel bends for sure.
Top it off with aluminum, galvanized, or stainless steel tubing, to match a lifetime exahust!

If you are in the general vicinity of Milwaukee, WI.....my people can do you up for $200.00 with parts and installation. You know how to contact me.
