I have a question; im running a built, low compression motor with my turbo setup. I'm using the Wesico Forged Pistons (82.5), with Crower Forged Rods. I ran a compression test, and I achieved these numbers: 149, 150, 151,150.

Is this considered too low for a low compression motor? What is the stock compression vs what im getting now?

well. what compression did you get the pistons in? 8:1? 8.5:1? 9:1? etc?

would make a big difference..

duno how to calculate it, but stock compression is 10.3:1 and 210,210,210,210 oem, or somewhere close.

i would think the numbers would be a lil higher than that though. i would think the numbers would be in the 160-170 range.

The standard compression pressure is 170 psi, and the service limit is 149..... on a stock motor

According to Wesico, it says that the compression is 8.7 - 9.0, for there low compression pistons. So if im getting 150ish, is that low for low compression pistons?

Not sure what world you live in but there isn't a standard for engine compression. The tiburon is as socks states a 210 ,210 ,210 ,210 compression engine.

Here are each of my cylinders on a beta I after 115k miles in order:

What im curious about is my cranking pressure too low for my low compression pistons? My new built block compared to my old one has the same wesico pistons, but im using forged crower rods, rather then stock oem rods. Im also using the gapless rings, but im stumped why my compression is 150lbs vs 170lbs with my old low comp setup.

How many cranks did you do in between each cylinder..
Some people only do 3-4 cranks and some 5-8 cranks.
Try it aggain with more cranks to see if the numbers climb

... and the numbers when you injected a little motor oil down into each cylinder were . . .
