When I go to put the ACT clutch on and flywheel and all that would it be a good idea to change the clutch release bearing?
Or is it not going to make that much of a difference? I am just figuring while it is off and all I might as well but if it is not neccessary then I am not going to mess with it.

basic rule of thumb is to buy the WHOLE clutch kit and not just a clutch.

and yes, you will want to replace the bearing.

i would also get a new pressure plate along with the bearing. theres no point in having an upgraded clutch and new flywheel, with an old pressure plate and old bearing.

I know the clutch info, with the pressure plate and all that I just did not list it I have an aftermarket pressure plate clutch and flywheel, just waiting for the car to get back so I can put it in I just did not know if the bearing was necessary to change. Any other things I should change out while I have the car up and the old clutch off?

the release bearing should have come with clutch kit..

change the axle seals while everything is off anyway.. they are lik 4$ piece.

Don't forget moly grease on the many bolts outside the bellhousing and on the input shaft in case you have to tear something apart again. The bolts come out a lot more easily then.

i use antiseize on EVERY bolt.. i love that stuff.. i used it on my transmission, suspension, lug nuts, etc. no more rust welding together. once you break a bolt loose, you can spin it out with your fingers. really nice to have.

i use mutlipurpose grease on the input shaft.

I used thread locker. I'd rather my flywheel or pressure plate not loosen itself wink1.gif

o, antiseize or anything like that is not recommended on parts like that.. or at least i wouldn't use it on that kinda stuff.

those are easy enough to get off anyway.. i don't use thread lock though.
