i've had my headers on for just over a month now and they already don't look as shiny and polished as they once did. what is the best way or best products to keep them shiny and rust free??

depends on what headers you have.. if they are polished stainless.. they make stainless cleaner. Chromed steel.. try some chrome polish.. do expect both to stink a few minutes once you start the car up again though.

here is some stuff you can use to polish stainless steel right up(if your headers are stainless). if they arent, just type in the metal they are made out of and then "polishing" and you will come up with things.

It works great. However, keep in mind, headers will continually get dull colored from the heat and from road debris. The only way to KEEP they looking perfect is to have them ceramic coated or powder coated. Even then, they will need cleaning, but they won't need polishing.

ceramic coating is the way to go.. keeps them looking nice and lowers the temps in the engine comartment.. can you ask for more?
