I constantly get a CEL light after driving 50 miles or so with normal driving. If I drive aggresively it goes away, and will stay away if I continue to do so. It also stays away as long as I run the AC. I brought it to Autozone and the code said "Emissions output does not match Engine RPM's". I have the code number at home, I will post it up when I get there. Any ideas on what this may be?
I have recently changed the following items on my car:
PCV
Coil
Plug Wires
Plugs
Fuel Filter

The emissions codes refer to the evap canister, pcv valve (not the one in the valve cover), gas tank seals, and the gas cap. What this code is refering to is that the PCV valve is not opening up correctly at the pressure amounts (ie engine rpms). I would check the IM hose that goes to the PCV valve and then the hose that goes from that to the evap canister.

I am assuming of course that it is one of these codes:
P0440 Evaporative Emission Control System Malfunction
P0441 Evaporative Emission Control System Incorrect Purge Flow
P0442 Evaporative Emission Control System Leak Detected (small leak)
P0443 Evaporative Emission Control System Purge Control Valve Circuit
P0444 Evaporative Emission Control System Purge Control Valve Circuit
P0445 Evaporative Emission Control System Purge Control Valve Circuit Shorted
P0446 Evaporative Emission Control System Vent Control Circuit Malfunction
P0447 Evaporative Emission Control System Vent Control Circuit Open
P0448 Evaporative Emission Control System Vent Control Circuit Shorted
P0449 Evaporative Emission Control System Vent Valve/Solenoid Circuit Malfunction
P0450 Evaporative Emission Control System Pressure Sensor Malfunction
P0451 Evaporative Emission Control System Pressure Sensor Range/Performance
P0452 Evaporative Emission Control System Pressure Sensor Low Input
P0453 Evaporative Emission Control System Pressure Sensor High Input
P0454 Evaporative Emission Control System Pressure Sensor Intermittent
P0455 Evaporative Emission Control System Leak Detected (gross leak)

The code I am getting is P0441
- EVAP canister or hose cracked
-- Not Connected
- Purge or vent solenoid defective
- Vacuum Leak
Where are the EVAP canister, purge, and vent solenoid located?

I think that's the same one that HKC was getting.
The purge & Vent solenoid is on top of the evap cannister.
You have a Rev A?

if someone could get pics of the EVAP canister's location up then you'd be helping two members at once.
I have the 0442 code and have been searching for a solution to the problem.

I had the 0442 code too smile.gif . Replaced the valve and no more problems. Here is a pic I got from WebTech.
-Edit-
I'll take a pic tomorrow morning and highlight where the Purge Control Valve is. It is in the same place (according to webtech) for 98-01 Tibs.
