You know you can set the timing after you put the head on again so why all the fuss? I really hope you didn't do something unfortunate to a piston (or the head) by using the starter. My machine shop has a piston on the counter with the head of a valve poking through the top, 1/2" of the stem down all the way thru the piston. That was a $$$ aftermarket Ford piston with timing off by 1 tooth. Good luck. I don't guess you need encouragement to take pictures of whatever you find. wink1.gif

haha didnt know that... but oh well, i hope i didnt ruin anything using the starter either lol. but i wont know until i pull the head off, and i love taking pictures of my findings lol
