Before you all say "Oh no, not this again". I'm not asking which cam is best, or how to install.
I just wanted to know from those who have swaped a 1.8 cam into a 2.0, what performace increase you got from it.

I put my cam in like 45 min at the most it is very simple just make sure you dont over tighten the bolts that go into the caps that hold the cam down i think it is like 10-12 lbs

as far as the install goes....i dont know, i had the dealer do it.

performance wise dont expect huge Hp or Tq #'s....but the "butt dyno" does feel some small increases...

It sounds really nice too......

definatly be careful with the torque on the cam carriers.. I had my torque wrench foul up and no "click" for one.. snapped it off good. I had to grease up the entire head, dril it out, tap it for a larger bolt, and then suck the grease and metal shavings out... nothing I EVER want to do again.

And yes.. expect subtle gains.. your idle might sound a little deeper too

I'm sure somewhere on the old site or on HP.com this is stated but its the new site and i'll ask anyway. LOL I know you can get the GT Cam off of Kspec but is the best place to get the regular 1.8 Cam the dealership? And what year Elantra is the 1.8 cam from so that if I order or get one from the dearlship I know what to ask for?

We can get the 1.8 also man.

No problem.

They just aren't on the site. Email David or just paypal the $109 to sales @ kspec.com (Remove spaces), and note that it's for the 1.8 Intake Cam.
