Yeah, I see what you mean and man is that a beautiful bay....very clean, shiney and colorful....I love it.
I was thinking about you the other day because there is a BP between work and home that my dad was telling me had cheap gas so I stopped to check it out and there was a Fiat that looked to be the same year and model as yours but it is more of an orange color that is just sitting there. I will see if I can get a pic and some info on it for you.

I will give you a seat of the pants estimate later this week when I put mine in and the UD pulley. I was going to do it this last sunday, but the snow kind of nixed those plans
I also WISH that was my fiat.. My spider is currently all done in primer and awaiting a little more welding. I was in the process of seam welding the body when I moved and left the car in storage. I still have to finish up the firewall where I noticed it to fit the Lancia Intergrale head, and I have yet to fit the suspension that I stole from a mazda miata.

Well, I have 35,000 on my xd cam with my beta 1(2001 tib). No probs as of yet. I don't even get any hla ticking. I have 55,000 on my motor total. As Random stated, there haven't been any problems reported. If I do have a massive failure, all the message boards will be one of the first to know. I have never seen/felt/heard any adverse effects from the cam, but I can't give you any proof of improvements either. I guess I will take my chances. Oh, Mad-machine, I think you got ripped. I paid well under 125 for mine, but I am not exactly sure how much. I'll have to take a look through my receipts.

Would not surprise me.. I am intending on the GT rear sway bar next.. I want to see what my local (Sport Hyundai Dodge) quotes for a price and then I am going to call the one up by Philly. If I have to take my car in for the wiper repair.. it is the one up by philly it is going to. I have been ripped off once to many times by the local dealer.

Mine is an Rd also.. but being a 88 it came with the 2.0 instead of the 1.8. Maybe what you need is a 2.0 block to slide under you 1.8 head?
That is actually very possible. Dweet is doing a swap and I am probably going to pick up his old 2.0 after he gets his new one in. I am not sure yet though because I would have to swap the ECU but maybe I could just swap the block..hmmmm

It all depends on if the increase in displacement is from the stroke and not the bore.. Longer stroke and it should be a simple matter of bolting and unbolting.. however, you might also get an increase in compression too.
