I call key hyundai and got a price on the block for my performance motor, but is there a dif between a block and a head, the price is 535 dollors would it be better to buy a used motor?

 

you can get full 2.0L betas on ebay from $200-600.

 

block: bottom part. where the crank/rods/pistons reside.
head: top part with cams, valvetrain.

short block: assembled bottom end, maybe with a head. Nothing but rotating assy. in block usually

long block: complete oil pan to valve cover, sometimes all the way to the throttle body.
