they probably honed the cylinder to break the glaze and make sure there were not minute scratches to gouge the rings.. that does not take long to do at all.

yup the just honed it and droped the piston in....it was in for 3 days...the hardest part was finding the head gasket 2 places sent me the wrong one, they kept sending the 4g63 head gasket it was almost a match but not quite. finly got one from the local hyundai dealer they had to get it from the states overnight on a plane...lol
