I don't know about Malaysia, but you can get a 96-99 WRX here for about 12-16k AU. Which I'm positive is cheaper than buying an entire EVO front cut and drive line, then all the custom work that has to be done to make it work.

It might be worthwhile just to drop a 4g63T in and leave it FWD, or turbo a Beta. AWD part will be very pricey.

Aust_RD: a 96-99 WRX will cost somewhere around 70k-90k. which roughly translates to about 35k-45k AUS dollars.

same goes for the evo4. used evo4 car = about 80K here.
Evo4 front clip = 12k-15k

so you roughly get what i'm saying here.

yea running FWD seems to be the best to do here.. but going AWD is very tempting. too bad I lack the funds...
