How hard is it to get the RD tib to run AWD?

Would this need cutting and welding of the floorpan or anything like that?

Very Hard and lots of money. The problem is that is is not a current platform that we can use for the swap so you got to build one your self.

can't we just custom fit an AWD system from another make? ie: Mitsubishi

I've seen this before, but I just don't know how difficult and costly it is

I wouldn't bother mate. If you had the money to drop on a Tib to make it AWD for the sheer fact of having AWD, you'd be better off getting a Rex or an Evo.

Save yourself alot of time, effort and money.

I get what you mean. But unfortunately, for me where I am, it is cheaper going for a swap rather than getting a WRX or Evo. Those cars costs a premium here compared to just getting the front clip of the car

that's the car (RD1 with Evo4 engine) that got me to start this thread.

most people just throw in the Evo engine and run FWD

EDIT: it looks like they knocked out the spare wheel well to accommodate the rear diff.
