Default autotragic death/where do i go from here?

hi this is my 1st post here so bare with me if im doin this wrong

i was driving yesterday and i felt my car start to bog while in drive so i stopped real quick in the middle lane.. i figured it was nothin so i started to drive again and whoa.. it was revving at 5500rpms and goin only 2 miles an hour in and out of neutral and 1st gear i was like wtf.. wham the whole thing just plops out leakin fluid everywhere.. so there goes my tranny

question is what do i do from here? id really like to do a auto/manual swap but i cant find any of the parts i need on the internet or in the local area.. ive done 2 other peoples swaps on mitsubishi cars but it wasnt nearly as hard to find parts for it as it is for the tibby.. if u guys could direct me in the right direction for parts or just on what i should do id appreciate it

my specs: 2001 tiburon, CAI, 4-2-1 headers, custom exhaust w/ borla muffler (thats just under the hood)heres a link to a pic below, its a shame that i gotta look at this parked in my drive way in disarray.. makes me wanna cry

any help at all would be beneficial for me at this point.. i know theres alot of smart people in here..

Are there any junk yards around your area? That's where I'd go and look for a tranny.

junk yard is your answer......

Nice Tibby.... looks beautifull

Oh.. I just got an idea.... go to Ebay an send emails to the seller that have the Tiburon Engine.... there's like 5 or 6 sellers.... ask them If they have the tranny.... All of them are JunkYard owners

Yep, Tib parts are hard to find. Having a local junkyard that has a Tib you can rip through is probably a rare jewel to find. If you go through the sites listed below, maybe eastcoastauto.com as well (great service, got the Eclipse GSX longblock off of there) you should find something.

Aren't Elantra's have the same engine and tranny as the tibby? You could also get the tranny from a 1.8 litre elantra( like 1996 and above Transmission).

Here in Virginia,,theres many crashed up Elantra's.
