well dont worry too much.. its like a 50% 50% thing

Batlord had a spec on his almost 300whp tiburon and it held up fine...

From what I have been told. Batlord did not drive the car all that much....And I dunno what his driving style was like,,but I beat on my car all day long...I feel bad sometimes..........NOT tongue.gif

I bought my Spec clutch from Kore back in the day and I now have 45,000 miles on it, Been running it the whole time with the alpine kit set at 14psi plus the 35hp nitrous shot I use once in a while with it and the clutch has never given me any problems at all, it still grabs nice. Mine was a perfect fit and the install gave me no problems at all and the clutch pedal feels good with it. I'm gonna go knock on some wood now cause with my luck the thing will blow apart later.

I have had my SPEC clutch installed for about a year now and is still running strong. I am running the Alpine kit at about 11psi. So around 200WHP?? (Damn I need to get a dyno done! LOL!) I originally purchased the Stage 2 clutch then upgraded to their new Hybrid Stage 2-3 disc. It has a segmented disc on the flywheel side and a 6 puck on the pressure plate side. Was supposed to have close to a stage 3 holding capacity but with a stage 2 engagement.

Had a minor install problem with the pressure plate holes that fit over the dowels on the flywheel. Just had to ream the holes out slightly as there was a coat of paint that was making things a little tight on the pressure plate.

I would say that I don't hammer on my clutch on a daily basis, I have a feeling the SPEC clutches when driven hard often, don't fare to well. So far so good for me but I think in the future when the time comes I will be getting a clutch from Kspec.

Dan at kore took care of me, but since it seems i was the only one he took care of, i'll shut up about that.

here are some pictures.
btw, i had an n/a setup. gt cam, 61mm tb, 61mm extrude honed im, aem intake, 4-1 header, 2.5" full exhaust, and nitrous.

I installed a Spec stage 1 clutch in October, gripped great with no slip untill my transmisison went. I only had about 20k on it at that time. In the process of removing my throwout bearing form the plate when I replaced the transmission, I ended up pushing one of the fingers past the inner ring. I went ahead and ordered another kit from innovative tuning. I was going to use the old disc so I wouldn't have to break it in, but when I opened up the new kit I saw that Spec switched to a 6 spring design instead of a 4 spring. The new clutch is chattering a little bit, but I'm still in the break-in period.
