i wanna know if the instructions at this website http://hyundaiperformance.com/forums/topic.php?t=28119 to insall a CAI are really necessary for the CAI i have here http://www.rdtiburon.com/index.php?name=PN...viewtopic&t=777 ..., maybe java could help me on this since you have the same one....i just feel taking out the battery and wheel well and all that stuff is too much. again, i have yet to even try the install yet, or even take an in depth look at it, because temperatures have been below 10 F degrees for the past week.

If your filter sits where most of ours sit, under the battery tray and behind the fogs, then yes, most of it's nessecary. I wouldn't take out the battery, just work around it and be careful. Put your car on jackstands, take off the drivers wheel and tire (We did it with these on but it made it harder), unscrew the splashguard, put the CAI in place, cut the splashguard to fit the new pipe, and put it all back. Easy.

you dont need to remove the battery or wheel well cover. You just have to cut it while its on the car

I just made sure I turned my wheels all the way to the left and took off the first 3 screws holding on the fenderwell.
