Well we might be able to help the owner with this, and get the ball rolling alot faster.. also maybe some of us have some ideas for making a new run of intakes. That is the reason i started the thread.. Just a thought.

I spoke with RPW today, the only manifold they do for the Beta 1 & 2 is a modified standard manifold. They remove the standard plenum and fit individual runners and then place a larger new plenum atop of it.

I was quoted at $1300 Aus for this to be done. You must supply the manifold too.

^^ It's similar to the Airram, giving another option to seeking out moulds for the Airram, also people have been talking in other topics involving manifolds about RPW making manifolds for Beta 1's and 2's.

There are a ton of threads on this. The best and cheapest thing to do is to take a stock manifold's flange and injector bungs, cut them off from the rest of the manifold, and then weld on parts from Ross Machine Racing.

You could make one for half the price of the Airam.
$100 for just the plenum, runners, and end cap.
Or $256 with the velocity stacks.

O snap... some of them IM's on their site look a hell of alot better than the air ram, I wonder if they flow better

Anyways, to make something similar to the airram from there you would need the following, at LEAST.

Subtotal $361.40

That's with the minimum order sizes they have listed for the extruded stuff. A second one would be cheaper of course.

So, that's $361.40, and doesn't include welding, mistakes, a sloped plenum to get equal distibution (though I'm sure there's a way you could do that.). It also doesn't include machining of the TB flange out of the flange material (the listed mustang TB's aren't available yet), doesn't include the fuel rail mounts, or the welding of the OEM head flange from a OEM IM. You also have to get the holes cut for the velocity stacks, vacuum nipples...

That's about it.

I think that would come out well more than 500 dollars, to have something similar.


This thread is about tracking the airram molds down to get them redone, we know what the options are, we've been talking about them for the past week or so, including the link you posted.

To who ever owns an Airram, can you state whether it has velocity stacks or not. From previous pictures, I do not see any velocity stacks, but I do see the runners in the plenum are widend a bit and polished.
