A lot of you said you would get another one.. did anyone actually GET another filter?

What kind and from where?

I need a new filter REAL soon.

I got the Autozone $15 k&n copy. Personally, I doubt anything smaller than you can see with hurt anything in the motor. So I'm not wasting my money on expensive filters.

Just make sure it doesn't have that piece on the inside that breaks off.

I have the one on the end of the aem cai, pretty sure its K&N, I think it ll depends on who does the test, k&n shows that their filter flow more on their boxes

Every manufacturer will say that their filter is the best.

I like K&N, I definitely know that it acts like there is no filter. I tested it, by taking it off at the drag strip and making a few runs, results were exactly the same as when I had it on.

well.. my combustion chamber is all fvcked right now cause something went inside cyl 3&4
so i kind of want to minimize all possibilities

lol

I know little microscopic objects wont hurt much (although my rings might think other wise) , i still want to try something other than K&N.

We all know K&N sux.. so might as well go with something else.

Plus... i need another filter regardless.

I would disagree that K&N sucks. As I told you, it flows just as good as if there was no filter... only thing that is not so clear is the amount of dust that K&N lets in.

I gotta agree with Op on this one. While K&N may let some dust in you cant have you cak and eat it too. So either you want something like the K&N which in preformance orientated that lets some dust in or you get something that lets nothing in but also makes not as much air come in. All matters if you want preformance or a sedan.....

I doubt Jaws would mind a few HP loss to increase the amount of dust coming in... if it makes that much difference at all. I use K&N, and I've seen all the particles that it lets in firsthand, especially if you don't keep an extremely good idea on the filter's condition.

I've seen car ownerss with the Apexi filter, and they all loved it. Whether how it performs versus K&N in performance and its filtering ability, that I don't know.
