Default 4-1 GB Headers

Okay, I'm sorry I haven't been able to get back to the people who have the questions about the headers. As some of you already know, it's been the holiday season in Korea for the past few days, so I've not been working as much as I should... Anyway, those of you who have received headers, please post here, and post what the pipe diameter on your header is. I will get to the bottom of it...

Here is what I have on my 4-1 header:

Main header: Outlet of 2 1/4
Second Piece: 2 1/4 in and 2 1/8 out.

Will this stop me from getting 2.5" piping and 2.5" CAT? I'll be awaiting word..I need to order the CAt today. Saturday I have an appointment to have it all installed (150.00)

I need to know what size CAT to order now. And what size piping to tell the guy to make sure he has on hand. Should all the in/out's be 2.5"?

What size should the pipes be coming down from the TOP of the header?

I ordered the 4-1 header and was under the impression that it was supposed to measure 2.5". Atleast that is what I placed on the order. I measured all openings(header and cat) and none even came to 2.25". All were about an 1/8 of an inch short of the 2.25 mark. Did I recieve the wronge header? Have all the others had the same problem?

Thanks,
Joshua

Joshua, that's what I'm trying to find out. If everyone can post the measurements on their headers, that would help.

The flanges on mine are almost exactly 55mm(within tolerance for mid-grade tubing), so about 2-3/16".

Should my headers be used? I want to get this done this weekend. And I still need to order my CAT...

And what size piping and CAT should I order?

Area=pi*(Dia/2)^2

for 2.25", A=3.976 sq.in.
for 2.5", A=4.909 sq.in. <--almost 25% more flow area. It is a significant amount.

Although if this is the way the headers are supposed to be, if it is the same design that has dynoed well on other people's cars, I'm fine with that. I'd just like it confirmed

I've been advised from a few (electrical) engineers to get the 2.5" in/out CAT and also 2.5" piping. They all say that the shop can use couplers to "built up/down" to correct size. Is this a true fact? I have 10 minutes to order the CAT for Sat. install...

2.5" in/out CAT ordered. 2.5" Piping ordered. Hope it all works together. Does the shop need any other parts other than the CAT and header? Like a header gasket? And if so, can I get it from the dealership?
