I mean remove your TB from the IM. Pull on it a bit and the tubes will get taut. Then do what I said.

Or even better, just take ALL of the clamps off and CUT THE HOSES. Then you can remove the hose ends and replace the hose.

only do it if you live in a warmer dry environment. If you get black ice on the roads where you live more then a few times year, then it's probly not a good idea. Water in the air will form along the ridges of the throttle body and freeze with this modification if conditions are right. The idea is you're sacrificing the ability of the throttle body to heat up for decreased temperatures of the intake charge.

I have not done this modification because I plan on going back to Montana durring the winter time with my car.

After looking at this chart http://www.eurometeo.com/english/climate/c...n%20netherlands and the one that shows parcipitation, it looks like the coldest months are the most likely to rain where you live. It may not be a good idea.

Pardon me for my English smile.gif

I meant.. Would it be a good idea to get a bbtb (without those coolant hose connections) for someone living in north europe?

(my question a couple of posts above was about the tb bypass mod, not about the bbtb install smile.gif )

Nothing wrong with getting a BBTB in a northern climate.
