The one that came with the kit was totally different than the one that was in my Accent. I shift my car without lifting off of the throttle (Megasquirt launch control hooked the the clutch pedal) and so far it does not slip.

I when to the clutch suppliers and looked up the release bearing manufacture NSK for the scoupe And there was no listing for scoupe only accent(g4ek). And the product id was the same as the j2. So im pretty confident it will work

ive been readin french forums and in quebec the swap is very popullar, but they use the accent 1.6L clutch and pressure plate ? why havent we been using this ? also they have a way to use the 1.5L or the 2.0L starter with slight mods.

I cant answer why were using the scoupe over the 1.6 accent clutch. Maybe its personal pref. Both should work
My 1.5 starter had no issues installing. I dont know what mods they are talking about. It was PnP

when you install the 2.0L starter, u have to do something with the bracket for the shift linkages because they would be in the way i think. from what ive heard the 2.0L engines is hard on the 1.5L starter.
