Guess that's fine if it's for you, and you only. Also, 15-20 minutes is an extremely over boiled hard egg. 10 minutes is plenty! No wonder the dude has trouble.

Cool idea, I'll have to try that next time. For hard boiled eggs, 20min is about right. (My wife's even done them for over 45 by accident once with no bad effects) For soft boiled, they go exactly 7min. 10 is just barely hard boiled.

3 minutes is runny as heck. 6 is almost cooked through the white on an extra large store brand egg from my grocery store. 8 gets the yolk firm, and at 20 it's all rubbery.
