^yeah dude, every other street has a speed camera. when driving through D.C., the radar detector keeps buzzing and buzzing it gets so annoying you have to turn it off. what has happened is all the other counties have learned from D.C. and adopted this technique.
everything that comes out of D.C. is bad.

Comming back into New York from New Hampsire last year the welcome to NY sign also said that radar detectors are prohibited.
About 3 months later I was going a little fast and reciveved a speeding ticket, with a radar detector on the windsheild. The cop asked me "What, that didn't go off?" I said "Apparently not in time" and that was it.
No citation, no extra fees, just the speeding ticket which was bad enough (27 over).
So i'm not sure how enforced that is.
I've also heard about those cameras comming this way, but all the cops here are trying to boycott it because its bascially putting them out of a job. Bottom Line....just drive safe.
