My rims? I wanted polished rims (not ghey heavy ass chrome) for the longest time until i saw a red car with a black carbon fiber hood and black rims with a polished lip, and it was sex... so i thought since i have the CF hood i could go for the same color scheme. And i got the rims, and i loved it. I ended up paying 900 something total after i paired them with my kickass toyo proxes-4 tires.

And why are racing rims a waste of money? And how do chrome rims make you look LESS ricey? You got that backwards bud. Having all exterior mods makes you the definition of rice, which is when you mod your car so it looks fast/sounds while infact being slow, and with those chrome rims your even friggin slower..

And dont tell me about some 12hr stint you spent on your car...Ive probably spent more time in my garage working on my car than you have driving your car. Ive literally put my blood, sweat, and tears into my car, so dont talk to me about EFFORT.

Speaking about effort, go look at tibby01's thread entitled "many many mods" ...afterwards, youll realize you just owned yourself.

As far as a body kit, i had (and have) the opportunity to buy a REAL veilside kit for my car for 220 friggin bucks. The guy just has it in his shed and wants to get rid of it. And my uncle could paint it for me for next to nothing. But i didnt want it, because:

1) veilsides are ugly to me (and alot of people)
2) they are impractical since they will scrape over any bump
3) its not very aerodynamic, with alot of places that air gets caught and passes more turbulant

and

4) did i mention its ugly?

mytib, do you watch television at all? TLC? Rides? Overhaulin? Those guys try to enter shows with the some of the worlds craftiest work yet 50% of the time they lose to contenders. Does that make the losers car bad? NO. It just means they didn't do what the other team did to win the hearts of the judges.

In your case, you didn't do to your car what would win voter's hearts. It doesn't mean your car sucks and your car is nicer, COTM is a voting system. Look up voting. When you vote for a President, does the ballot ask you how big h nose is?

Tibby01's car isn't red with black rims. That's Alex01's Tiburon and I'll bet his hands look like he's just built the Empire State Building from the work he has put into his car. His car is sickly fast, it's no joke it could probably pull a V8 Mustang and an Impreza STi. He never brags about his car, and always tries to help anyone in need of trouble. He's been on the forums helping everyone with such technical horsesh*t only 10% of us understand what it means. I mean he's that devoted. Apart from the car, part of COTM is you deserving it.

tibby01's car has some sick work done to it too, if you ever took 5 mins out of your time to check out any of his threads. He took apart his entire car and put it back together.

i agree racing rims are a waste of money. i also agree flashy rims are a waste of money. i also agree throwing any money into a cheap korean POS tin can slow as hell electronic failiure no aftermarket plastic sardine mobile like anyone on this site is a complete waste of money. that money could go to your savings account so you could live a better future and invest and make thousands off of stocks, bonds, land, business.

cheap, foreign, slow, they do look nice though....i spent money because you never see a tib with a kit or anything on it....chrome looks good on anything thats not made for racing. which might i add that racing is stupid.
