I'm sure you're already aware, but just in case you're not..

Be aware of the 29% interest if you use Dells financing. Just like any other "store card."

Ya I figured it would be a high rate. I plan on getting it paid off very quick though.

And yes, I just want a new one. Ill probably fix the old one and sell it to someone around here for cheap. It doesnt have a qhole lot of memory or anything.

I got one that I bought from zhyrst on here a year+ ago... I'm looking to upgrade to a newer laptop with a better processor. But the laptop is great, and fast. upgraded tons of stuff on it too. Look in the FS section, I'm about to post it. Or PM me.

If you have the cash than why use 25+% financing??? Just buy it outright, you'll be very glad you did...

I got a Compaq 1500 series (1525US - flagship model) I am selling.

2.4 Ghz Pentium 4 processor

1 Gig memory

15.1" SXGA LCD screen

JBL Pro built in sound.

Great shape, awesome looking laptop. Silver with black keyboard and chrome accents...

Windows XP and some good programs.

I also have a car/airplane adaptor

Wireless N wireless networking card

Still have all the instructions and paperwork

Let the whole bundle go for $350.00

This thing runs just as fast as my new Presario F500 series I just bought and it is a AMD Turion 1.8 GHz dual core processor. Though I love the new ones high definition widescreen LCD display much better, and the Win Vista and MS Office 2007 was a nice upgrade too.

i just bought an hp not too long ago, maybe a couple weeks ago, and it has everything in that, including lightscribe, except the fingerprint thing. even has the built in mic and cam.... got it on sale at best buy..... shop around before ordering online, sometimes you can get a better deal in person. mine was only $750, with tax included...

Yeah, Your HP sounds like pretty much the same thing my new Copmpaq is. I only paid $775.00 with MS Office 2007 from Sams Club. Mine did not have the fingerprint scanner either, but does have the mic, don't know about the cam though.

It is the same as the HPs because HP owns Compaq (identical other than the name plate like Mazda/Ford).

Some good deals here guys. You should post some of them in the FS section. Anyway, I think Im just going to order the Dell. I can pay it off quick and not have any interest. And, the one I was going to get for almost $2000 I got down to about $1400 with student discounts and stuff. Plus, I really need to have the warranty and stuff in case I break it or it gets stolen or whatever.
