Another clutch bites the dust only a few weeks after installing it. Left me stranded on the other side of town.
Fvck this POS!!!!
I'm seriously considering giving up, going to near stock and RELIABLE clutch, and 7psi. I don't care if there's a $2k clutch out there. It's not worth this shit.

You still have the junkyard motor in to dont you? Pushing almost 300? Thats rediculous we cant get a clutch to hold that much. And the 2K one is just stupid expensive. Shit, you would be better off building an automatic then.

Were all of these on the same tranny?
I'm just wondering, because I know that Mad John, and many others in Korea, haven't had this problem.
Hell, Java hasn't had this problem at all, and his pushes well over 300 regularly.
I'm wondering if something is wrong in your tranny...
Don't give up Jon, we'll help you out.

I don't understand it either. There are plenty of beta's over 300whp and I don't see them going through their clutches like you.
Is there another side to this story because like I said above their are others with 300+ and no "special" clutch that only they have lol.

Those other guys don't daily drive their 300hp Betas either. I could get probably 50 good passes on any of those clutches, or drive like grandma under 3krpm and go a lifetime with it. But that's not what I spent over $2000 in clutch kits for now is it? I wanted a quick and reliable daily driven car, and now it seems that's not possible unless you spend a ridiculous amount of money on a whole different setup.
And there's plenty of people that have broken their clutches the same way as I have on far less power, so it's not just me or a defective tranny. "Hearing about people in Korea" means shit when we actually SEE pics of these broken clutches by members all over the hyundai forums here. These are REAL people with the same REAL problem.
I've broken the first 3 on the original Beta I tranny. The rest were on a 12k mile Beta II tranny. Basically new.

Ehh, Jon, I understand you are upset, but don't talk out your ass.
Javageek drives his car daily. Viper previously drove the car daily, and VERY long distance.
Mad John drives his car daily, when it's not in the shop for further upgrades.
SFR's car is driven daily, 4 cylinder, 400 WHP.
I'm not going to hit the dyno thread to see who else drives them daily, but that's where we sit.
Hell, how about Tim? Not daily driven, but he's got over 400 WHP doesn't he? He's not shattering clutches regularly.
Jon, have these all been on the same motor? I understand that it's different trannies, but could there be somehting unbalanced with the motor that is doing it?
I'm trying to think of the other 300 WHP cars we have around here, as most of the clutch "issues" I've seen in person and on here have been lower power than yours.
