Ye, I've only hit one animal ever. There was a bunch of high grass right beside the road, and a cat darted out right in front of my wheel, I didn't even have any time to hit the brakes.

I was sad for quite a while.

If I accidently killed a dog Id be devastated, Id feel awful.

 

wow, i'm sorry to hear that. it wasn't your fault though man, couldn't really be avoided.

 

I hit a possum once. Two lane road to an island to drop a friend off at home in the dead of night. Passenger side hit at 60mph. There were two quick crunches and I didn't stop. The look on my friend's face was priceless. She cried, I laughed.

The mess was a bit disturbing, but cleaned off rather easily.
