I watched that too, I want to say that it was in Toronto, I know for sure that it was in Canada though.

Geez. This thread did generate alot of responses quick. I guess I hit a button that everyone has had pressed a few times. haha.

So yeah, I'm waiting for my CARB stickers and documentation from AEM so I can go get this stuff written off. He pulled me over for my illegal tint on the side windows. He marked it fixable, which is good, so like a $10.00 court fine, but have to go through the hassle of getting stuff checked off... which is not really that big a deal since I already need to do that from the ticket I got last week. lol. I can strip the tint myself, its just having to do it sucks.

Ummm.. Well, I said 'I hate cops now' because I've never really been harrased by them. Some of the tickets I got, yes I deserved, so I didn't fight it much. Yesterday's ordeal was harrassment in my book. Just give me a ticket for the tint and let me go, whatever. But the whole under the hood inspection, looking around my car, etc. Ugh, too much. He was a total dick.

I mean, up until I moved down to this area, my experiences with Cops have been ok. Since coming down here, bleh, sucks so bad.

I did get out of a ticket not long ago. I accused of doing ~60 in a 40 zone at midnight. However, I went court and fought it, told the judge I was doing about 50-55mph and after some debate over some things with the police officer, the Judge ruled in my favor, saying I did not break the basic speed law which is driving unsafe for the conditions. Was found innocent and free to go.

I just hope this ordeal works out as well. -_-;

Yes, well the Socialist Republic of California is the exception. I know there are several regulations there that actually conflict with your 4th amendment rights, one of them allows searches that are illegal in the other 49 states.

I've been pulled over quite a few times. The first day I bought my Tib I was pulled, in fact. That cop was a ----. Let's just say I don't hold a high opinion of him.

Cops like to stand at the toll booths on a local road and just wave people over, they never give a reason, but they always ask "Do you know why I waved you over?" Total bait. I've had the height of my bumpers measured several times now, but of course I am much higher than the minimum, my Eibachs lower me what, 1.25"? I just look lower due to skirts.

Ive been pulled over many of times in the tib, some where my fault others where "suspected" of drunk driving but the cop made other excuses.

1. Driving 78 in a 45 (my fault / paid the $155.00 ticket)

2. "Going Left of center" when I came out of Buffalo Wild Wings. For some odd reason the cop didnt think of it being a coution zone, and it is going from one road to the other) (Warning)

3. "Suspected of Drinking and Driving" 3am at night, he pulls me over and tells me I have to change my Blue Turn Signals (Warning)

4. Not having my lights on at 7am (still plenty of daylight, but the cop thought it was to damn dark) (warning)

5. At the time I didnt have any bolts for my new frontend to put a license plate.. He pulls me over (the front plate is in the window) he tells me if I get in a wreck that the plate would kill me slice my kneck off (warning)

The cops here in Ohio are pretty nice in fact, but I gotta admit they have nothing else too do. In ohio its a state law that you must have a front license plate (i beleave we are the only state that has this law still) granted ohio wants to make more money of the BMV. 2 plates here are 60 bucks.. Personal plates are 85.. (every year)

So if you wanna move to ohio , the BMV really rips you off, but cops are that bad about ricers / Modafacations.

sorry about the typos I got class in 2mins, Going to be late.

dang glad i live in a small town.. been pulled over for having 2% tint but that was on there when i bought the car.. couldnt really see at night anyways so i got 35% blue tint. 50% is legal around here but being blue it looks lighter.. got pulled over today in my wifes car on the way to green bay for not having a front plate though.. which dont know where that went. was on there when we bought the car but it was gone with the holder after like 2 days of having it and only 1 cop has pulled me over out of the million i have passed in it. but there are no emmisions testing out here and cops are usually pretty leinient other than the state troopers. oh and code wisconsin is a 2 plate state.. i know this because thats what the cop told me before he let me go lol

It was Toronto. It caused a huge buzz on TorontoStreetRacing.com, which is now GTcars.ca for obvious reasons. I only check it out once in a while to see photos of local events like shows and stuff. They know the cops watch the boards there too.

But in all honesty, people with completed show cars are less likely to be involved with racing. Just listen to things that are being said. The guys that race are the ones that hate the exterior mods. They put all their money under the hood.

In Toronto, they tried Project E.R.A.S.E. They handed out free passes to the local dragstrip, then ticketed every modified car that pulled in. If they want the racing off the streets, give them a place to go.

I actually got pulled over about 2 hours after I bought my tib, got told my windows were tinted too much, I kindly explained how I just bought the car and it in fact did not have any window tinting on it, cop let me go, but followed me for about 20 minutes after that mad.gif
