I swear to god... Gear oil has got to be the most foul smelling liquid known to man... I'd rather be covered in rotting anything than that crap... I just changed it if you can't tell. >.<

I hope that is GL-4 compatible because that's what you need. A GL-5 lubricant is not suitable for our transmissions.

Yah, gear oil is nasty.

My original gear oil smelt the worst, the new oil and subsequent used oils werent nearly as bad.

Somebody mentioned gear oil in old trucks, i can attest to that.

While working at wal-mart, i was in hardware, 2 departments away from the TLE bay, the idiots managed to somehow break the differential open on a circa 1970 truck and good god, it stunk up the whole god-damn store.

It was a walmart super center and you could smell it from across the store and in my department it was so thick it was hard to breathe, customers kept telling me about it like i didn't notice it lol, some people thought it was propane or rotten eggs, i knew before they announced it that it was gear oil.

Terrible stuff...

Tiburon gear oil isn't bad. I've smelled worse.

Now the stuff in the hubs of a military humvee smells horrible. I think it's like straight 90W. Nasty assed stuff.
