I hate having captive rotors on my 97. it sucks. I just bought a new set of rims and forgot about that. Now, i tightened the rims as far down as they would go to see if they wqould be secure enough to drive on and no.

Anyway to get these rims to work with my captive rotors?

1. 8mm wheel spacers

2. captive swap

3. drill into the back of the rim

sparticus, those are my options correct?

If i do get the wheel spacers, will i have to get extended studs?

also, apologize for not searching first. Sorry.

for 8mm, i'm not sure. it would be pretty close...

it wouldn't hurt (to just get the bigger ones anyways), and wheel studs are cheap

one more question: is it safe to ridea arround with rims on the vehicle that are not seated on the hub but are impacted at 100 ft/lbs just onto the big bolts? probably not but thought i would ask.

simply put..

<span style="font-size:18pt;line-height:100%">NO!</span>

and our lugs are supposed to be torqued to 80 ft/lbs
