when lfting a car ALWAYS put something like a brick, wooden block on 2 sides of opposit wheel, so it didn't roll.
For example - if you jack front left wheel - block rear right.
For example - if you jack front left wheel - block rear right.

I didn't know hyraulic jacks were that cheap! going to go and get one soon. scissor ones were a good invention, but now it's time to upgrade.
sorry to hear about your fender man, but it's not their fault these things are eqipped standart in all cars. you have to be very careful when doing this and if you do it right on the right surface usually you get no damage. plus the first owner might have done something with it so you never know. i left mine out in the rain one time and it rusted and now it's super difficult to turn it. go to a bodyshop and have it repaired.

Walmart has a small thin aluminum floor jack for $20, but if you look on the packaging, it says
Not a tool, for display only
