I believe anything done to the car that's not stock is illegal! You can't lower your car, you can't put a muffler on, you can't use different light bulbs, yadayadayada!

 

huh? its not illegal as long as you pass emmisions. whats the diff between a replacement exhaust from a muffler shop and a exhaust from the same place that is just a lil bigger? im glad you dont make the laws

and you can put a new muffler on, thats why muffler shops sell them. you can get new lights on (just not aftermarket HID's or different colors). idk about lowering

if ANY modding to your car was illegal then a cop could just roll up to a car show and write tickets as they left

 

Difference is that it's no longer OEM. Those are laws that cops and other people made up, not me. We probably wouldn't have that many laws if I was making them.

I believe I heard people get tickets for having a CAI. If it's not CARB approved, it's illegal!

my intake is louder than my exhaust

ive been pulled over for it

they both are approved for noise and the intake is carb exempt (injen)

i have been told to put the "stock stuff back on or you will be made to put the stock stuff back on its your choice"

its not that loud abqelantra's car is WAY louder

 

I don't think my injen knock off was that loud... I mean, you could hear it, but only at WOT.

Man everyone modifies their cars and most of the people get away from it, but I wish you saw what's going on when 80-150 riced out cars get together on a parking lot of some store and then police comes.... if you get cought you are pretty much f&*ked! They will check from you light bulbs to height of your car, to your engine, your trunk, everything!!! They will find something aftermarket and will give you either a ticket or a fix it order!!

I wish cops could leave us alone when we get together!
