Hey man I think you got hosed. If it leaked out already, believe me, it's gonna leak out again! The guy you went to first was actually truthfull. He said you have a leak somewhere. He didn't want to refill it and then have you come back and say that he didn't do it right. The second guy played you, he now has more $$ coming his way cause you'll need more Freon! I'd find the leak soon, and go back to the other guy.

 

I find it funny that I just finished stripping an 84 bmw... the car ran (poorly) and the air didn't work.... I was VERY surprised to find out that it still had a LOT of pressure when I accidently nicked the condenser...
