Not to mention if you do it in their parking lot you can loan-a-tool a socket big enough to get that center hub off. smile.gif Wonder how I know that...

Only thing to watch out for doing it yourself is having the rear drum (if you have drums, if not ignore the rest) rust-welding itself to the wheel hub, and a small rust-lip on the inside of the drum, preventing the drum from simply sliding off over the shoes. I destroyed my rear bearings getting the drums off my car.

yea i just had to get my wheel bearing replaced. but i went to the dealership cus my car is still under warranty. I dk if yours is, or if you got it at a dealership. But you could save yourself some money.

I still haven't had a rear bearing go out, and only the drivers side front has gone out twice in 100k. (I think we damaged it the first time we swapped it) Second time I took the hub off and took it to a mechanic. He said it's the hardest he'd ever changed.
