rubbing problems
I have 16 in TSW trophy's on my 97 accent GT and i have some issues with rubbing. The tire is 205/40R16, i had the rear fender shaved a bit to get rid of the lip. But it is still rubbing on occasions. The car is dropped with apex springs and KYB GR-2 struts. I was wondering if it would be possible/worth "pulling" the wheelwell out a little so that the tire goes into the wheelwell rather than hit it. Wheel offset is the key here. There is someone on this forum with 18's on an accent that is lowered with no rubbing.
If you are rubbing the wheeloffset you have is to small. (moved the wheels to the outside too much).
If you roll your fenders, that should eliminate your problem. You can do it yourself with a BFH, or take it to an autobody shop. Most charge abotu $25 to $50 per fender. You should really only need the front's rolled.

The offset is a +40mm. I know Hector has 18's and he doesn't have rubbing problems. I only rub on kinda big bumps, but its aggravating. Rolling the fenders meaning just the lip or actually "pulling" out the fender a bit?? I need to fix this before my tires turn to sh*t. thanks

All you should need to do is roll just the lip not pull the fender or anything. I did mine myself on my truck. What did was take a high speed and cut little notchs in the lip all the way around one about every inch or so. Then I took a dead blow hammer and placed my hand on the outside of the fender for support. Then I hammered each notch until it was even didn't warp or damage the fender at all and there was no more rubbing.

BFH=Big ****ing Hammer or...in this case..a deadblow does the trick of a hammer almost twice it's size.
