OK I need some help on rim choosing. For the upcoming christmas I might be able to get a set of rims for my car and that would be the only present I would get. I think it would be worth it. At first i was considering the VELOX VX-8s in gunmeatal, but I just found out that they were 23 lbs. OUCH! My car is a Silver RD2 and im wanting gunmetal rims that look good and are under $1000 for both wheels and tires. If anyone knows what will look good, list em. I need some ideas. I have also I have considered the Motegi Racing FF5's, The ADR Sukudo 8's and some others.

gunmetal wheels go fairly cheap on EBay. I'd honestly keep an eye on there, and once you find a wheel, contact a few sellers asking if they are able to get the wheel, and get a few prices.

16" are only 14.5 pounds
16" are also only $500 for a set, free shipping.

I was just on Koningwheels.com and I saw the Traffiks in graphite and the looked pretty sweet, and I know they are light. Then I went on wheelspecs.com and it says they only came in silver, white, and carbon(black). Does anyone know what happened to the graphite one?

Ebay is a good place to look, the only thing is the shipping price can kill you sometimes. If I were you, I'd look for Volk TE 37's on Ebay used (they're very expensive brand new). I'd also look at Discount Tire as they have some wheel/tire packages at decent prices. I don't know if they still carry it, but they were offering a 17" Konig Helium that weighs around 15lbs for below what you want to spend.

Would Konig Traffiks in 17x7 in silver look good on a silver rd2? Because I know they are light, but would it look weird or look good? Just Wondering.
I came across some Traffiks for $475 with tires and I was wondering if this was right......4x100 pattern and 40mm offset with 215/45 Goodyear Eagle GS-D tires...Im pretty sure the tires are a lil big right? What do yall think....also he is selling without tires too.

If there are only 4 lug holes in those rims, and the pattern is 4x100, they will not work. But if there are 8 lug holes than one of those patterns is the 4x114.3mm that you need. Post up a pic of your car as it sits now and we should be able to tell you whether or not it is lowered. If not just look at the strut/springs behind your wheels, if the springs are black and not cut, then you should be at the stock height.
