I hear rattling sounds, as is metal is hitting another metal part. I hear these sounds when I drive on bumpy roads. The sound goes away when I brake or pull the e-brake.

I thought it might be something with my rear brakes (they were in bad shape), so I changed them to the ones i've got from Cquence. But still, I hear the sound.

Could it be my shocks? The local garage doesn't know where that sound is coming from, but it's definitely coming from the left rear wheel.

Anyone got an idea what it might be?

Sorry for my bad english smile.gif

Your English is very good, better than some Americans.

Can it be your springs making the noise? Can you make it happen by bouncing on the back of the car without driving?

Since braking makes a difference, could the caliper touch the metal brake shield plate sometimes? My shields are pretty rusted in the front and barely resemble their original shape lol

another vote for the brake shield. I did have a tire repair guy once leave a valve stem in a tire after he installed a new one. tire stem would bounce off teh rim at low speed until centrifugal force would press it against the tire.

Thanks.

Nop, I already tried that.

I will check the brake shield today or tomorrow, thanks guys!

Check all the suspension fasteners for proper tightness. Check the brake lines. Raise that corner of the car on a jack and grab the shock absorber and shake it vigorously. Grab the spring and shake it vigorously.

What I do know is that it did happen a couple after mounting a rear strut bar, which I fastened VERY tight. Could it be something to do with the rear strut bar?

Since it only takes 5 minutes, I'd remove the strut bar and tighten all the bolts back down, and see if it changes anything. It could be something to do with the top of your suspension.
